Full Description

The Mira (Empress was sold by Lyon & Healy) trademark disc music boxes were sold by Jacot & Son music box importers/dealers in New York City, beginning in 1903. The Mira was a product of the Mermod Freres (Cylinder music boxes and maker of the Stella disc music box) of Ste. Croix, Switzerland. The Mira was a conventional star wheel operated music box that was initially introduced as a less costly version of the projectionless Stella line of disc music boxes. This Mira has been resored and refinished and plays with a full, rich, sweet tone. With 15 tune discs. Approximate dimensions: 30" x 24" x 12"
