Full Description

The New Century line of disc music boxes was a late entry, circa 1902, into the music box sales arena. This instrument was imported into the U.S.A. as parts to avoid the high duties assessed (40%) on completed music boxes. Symphonion Mfg. in Asbury Park, NJ, was the importer who assembled the mechanisms into U.S.A. made cases. The music movements were supplied by the August Paillard Co. of Ste. Croix, Switzerland. The present example is in superb condition. Mechanisms have been cleaned and lubricated. The cabinet retains its near perfect original finish. With 12 original and reproduction discs. 27"x24"x14"
